                    23 groups will be removed

The Last Call for Comments (LCC) on 2011-08-16 initiated a five-day
period for final comments. Following this comment period, the Big-8
Management Board has decided by vote to remove the 23 moderated
groups listed below.

RATIONALE:  

The newsgroups listed below were chosen because they have had no on-topic
traffic for years. Moderator Vacancy Investigations (MVIs) were posted for
these groups between May 29 and June 17, 2011. The MVIs precipitated no
interest in retaining the newsgroups.
