RATIONALE:

Probe posts to this group resulted in bounces.

Roger Sawtell says the moderator appears to have lost interest in this group
due to the lack of use. Roger favors removal of the group.

CHARTER OF COMP.OS.TPF

A forum for discussing all problems and topics related to the
Transaction Processing Facility Operating Systems by IBM. Topics such
as programming in Assembler/370 for TPF, as well as C-TPF programming, C++,
Java, architecture, and interoperability are welcome. Provision for topics
and postings for Job Offers follow the guidelines widely accepted by the
Usenet. Topics unrelated to TPF or MVS/TPF,such as large binaries,unrelated
pictures and offensive material are unacceptable under all circumstances.

HISTORY OF THE GROUP:

comp.os.tpf is a moderated newsgroup which passed its vote for creation by
210:9 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 21 Dec 1998.

Those who wish to comment on this request to remove this newsgroup should
subscribe to news.groups.proposals and participate in the relevant threads
in that newsgroup.

To this end, the followup header of this RFD has been set to
news.groups.proposals.

In the course of the removal process four formal announcements are posted
(MVI, 1st RFD, 2nd RFD, and LCC), each taking two weeks. At the end of the
process the B8MB will vote on the issue.

Available options for comp.os.tpf are:
- leave the group as it is
- remove the group
