I took over moderation of this group in September of 2007 as a result of
an MVI after the group had been dead for some time. Traffic was always
very light and there have been no ontopic submissions since May, 2008.

Since the 1st RFD for removal was posted on 2009-11-25, no one has
expressed any interest in the group one way or the other.

HISTORY OF THE GROUP: is a moderated newsgroup which passed its
vote for creation by 189:25 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 1
November 1994.

should subscribe to news:news.groups.proposals and participate in the
relevant threads in that newsgroup.

To this end, the followup header of this RFD has been set to

If desired by the readership of closely affected groups, the discussion
may be crossposted to those groups, but care must be taken to ensure
