CHARTER OF COMP.LANG.VISUAL

    A forum for general discussion of visual programming languages.  A
working definition of visual programming languages is posted in the
regular comp.lang.visual FAQ.  Non-visual aspects of the Visual Basic and
Visual C++ environments, products of Microsoft, Inc., are not legal
discussion topics for comp.lang.visual.
    This is a moderation of the existing group comp.lang.visual.

RATIONALE:

Probe posts to this group resulted in bounces.

<comp-lang-visual@moderators.isc.org>: host
    moderators.individual.net[130.133.4.7] said: 550 all relevant MX records
    point to non-existent hosts (in reply to RCPT TO command)

HISTORY OF THE GROUP:

comp.lang.visual is a moderated newsgroup which passed its vote for
creation by 359:24 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on 14 Dec 1994.

PROCEDURE:

Those who wish to comment on this request to remove this newsgroup should
subscribe to news.groups.proposals and participate in the relevant threads
in that newsgroup.

To this end, the followup header of this RFD has been set to
news.groups.proposals.

In the course of the removal process four formal announcements are posted
(MVI, 1st RFD, 2nd RFD, and LCC), each taking two weeks. At the end of the
process the B8MB will vote on the issue.

Available options for comp.lang.visual are:
- leave the group as it is
- remove the group
