                          remove comp.std.lisp

This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) to remove the moderated
newsgroup comp.std.lisp.

RATIONALE: remove comp.std.lisp

The newsgroup comp.std.lisp has not had any approved messages since
April 1998, with the next prior approval in February 1996. In its
entire active period from January 1994 to April 1998 it only had 53

first two months of existence.

Discussion of the programming language Lisp, including standardization
efforts may be discussed in the unmoderated group comp.lang.lisp.
Activities of the Association of Lisp Users (ALU) may be discussed in
the unmoderated newsgroup comp.org.lisp-users. The ALU also maintains
a web site at http://www.lisp.org/alu/home.

HISTORY:

The moderated newsgroup comp.std.lisp and the unmoderated newsgroup
comp.org.lisp-users were created in January 1994. After a short early
flurry of activity, it was often several months between approvals. The
last approval was in April 1998, roughly 9 years ago.
