                      REQUEST FOR DISCUSSION (RFD)
                   unmoderated group sci.cybernetics

This is a formal Request For Discussion (RFD) for the creation of the
unmoderated Usenet newsgroup, sci.cybernetics.

NEWSGROUPS LINE: sci.cybernetics

sci.cybernetics	(no description yet)

RATIONALE: sci.cybernetics

Cybernetics is the study of communications and control systems in economics,
ecology, technology, biology, physiology, ecology, psychology, sociology,
and anthropology. The term derives from the Greek Kybernetes meaning
steersmanship or helmsman. This group is to encompass the science of
cybernetics at the degrees in which society and the humanities form a
synergy with technology on the Internet. The concept of a society or,
advancement in the humanities for instance, serves as the basis of this
school of thought, or philosophy in these fields, as serves the basis for
this group's existence, to survive on the Internet as a forum for discussion
ranging about control systems and feed-back loops, to programming machine
intelligence and cipher theory as its aggregates could be modelled, the
responsibility of the poster to maintain interest in messages and threads.

CHARTER:

The focus of this group is the investigation and examination of cybernetics
in a forum for formal research involving cybernetics as a science. The
purpose of this group is to establish the ground set for soc.cybernetics,
humanities.cybernetics. The science of cybernetics focuses on differences
in fields of technological where the development of command and control,
communications, guidance, and vision apply to participants whom are into
developing interests in the main areas of cybernetics research. This group
is to promote commercial and scientific awareness generally serving in the
betterment of humanity with technology. Commercial involvement, theory,
algorithms, heuristic, and engrams are encouraged as the primitives of this
group form a base for developing cybernetics as the object of its
subscribers to communicate within circles that describe the science to the
humanities and society.

PROCEDURE:

For more information on the newsgroup creation process, please see:

  http://www.big-8.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=policies:creation

Those who wish to influence the development of this RFD and its final
resolution should subscribe to news.groups.proposals and participate in the
relevant threads in that newsgroup. This is both a courtesy to groups in
which discussion of creating a new group is off-topic as well as the best
method of making sure that one's comments or criticisms are heard.

All discussion of active proposals should be posted to news.groups.proposals.
To this end, the 'Followup-To' header of this RFD has been set to this group.

If desired by the readership of closely affected groups, the discussion
may be crossposted to those groups, but care must be taken to ensure
that all discussion appears in news.groups.proposals as well.

We urge those who would like to read or post in the proposed newsgroup
to make a comment to that effect in this thread; we ask proponents to
keep a list of such positive posts with the relevant message ID
(e.g., Barney Fife, <4JGdnb60fsMzHA7ZnZ2dnUVZ_rWdnZ2d@sysmatrix.net>).
Such lists of positive feedback for the proposal may constitute good
evidence that the group will be well-used if it is created.
