The Last Call for Comments (LCC) on 14 Nov 2006 initiated a five-day period
for final comments. Following this comment period, the Big-8 Management
Board has decided by a vote to create the group soc.support.stroke.
The vote was 3 in favor, 1 opposed, 4 explicit abstentions, and 3 no-votes.
This group will be created on 01 Dec 2006.

soc.support.stroke Family and survivors recovering from strokes.
CHARTER:
soc.support.stroke is an unmoderated newsgroup where stroke survivors,
their relatives, friends, caregivers, and professionals in the field can
share experiences and exchange ideas on how to cope with the effects of
stroke. Posters are expected to abide by normal Usenet standards of
decorum - for example, bottom posting will be the norm, and lurking for a
while before posting is advisable - and to refrain from sending articles
intended to disrupt the group.
The following are not allowed:
- Personal advertisements
- Commercial advertisements and money-making schemes
- Chain letters
- HTML
- Threats and/or advocation of violence
- Binaries, except PGP signatures, X-Face headers, and other
ancillary meta-data
- Personal attacks
