CHARTER OF REC.AUTOS.SPORT.INFO

     This group will contain announcements, results, standings, news
     items, press releases, schedules, "reliable" rumours, and other
     information about automotive racing. No discussion will be
     permitted; followups will be directed to rec.autos.sport.

  * rec.autos.sport.info will provide a low-volume channel with all
    the information (as opposed to discussion) in one place. The group
    will be jointly moderated, using a combination of software and
    people to provide a rapid approval process for appropriate news
    articles. With any of the moderators free to approve any given
    posting, we hope to provide a few hours' turnaround time for
    most articles posted to rec.autos.sport.info. Rejected articles
    may be automatically posted to rec.autos.sport (unless the author
    requests otherwise); the intent is not to weed out opinions but
    to maintain a high information content. Moderators will NOT
    base their approval on the content of the post, but, rather, only
    on the appropriateness and estimated reliability of the report.

    The provisional list of moderators is:
	Andrew Henry        A.H.Henry@bath.ac.uk
	Dan Jones           danjones@pyramid.com
	Mike Holthouse      holthous@cis.ohio-state.edu
	Ron O'Dell          keeper@armory.com
	Steven Wheeler      swheeler@lawson.its.utas.edu.au
	Tom Haapanen        tomh@metrics.com
    The moderator list is subject to change during the RFD period;
    after the creation of the group, new moderators can be added and
    existing ones removed by a simple majority vote of the current
    moderators.

    All articles will have a Folloup-To: line set to automatically
    redirect followups to the appropriate rec.autos.sport group.
