  • E-mail from a moderator seeking a replacement (confidential): TM has already responded with some suggestions
  • Query in news.groups about the lack of posts in comp.os.linux.announce . TM has confirmed with Salahuddin that the moderation system is still working. Unfortunately, all submissions so far have been rejected as off-topic (spam, etc.). TM suggested to Salahuddin that perhaps the group's return to functionality may need to be better publicized. Paul Schleck, in a follow-up on news.groups , has provided further insights and advice; TM to direct Salahuddin's attention to this post.
• Publicity
  • TM: LibrePlanet 2023 video, audio, and slides (including our talk)] now available
    • The video description for our talk was wrong. TM wrote to conference organizers, who have now corrected the description.
    • TM has publicized the talk video on news.groups and social media. TM to add an announcement on the Board's web page.
  • TM raised the possibility of new (Web)STUMP release in time for GNU 40th Anniversary event? (They want to have "40 release announcements, discussions or presentations in one day".) The meeting agreed to aim for a new release of (Web)STUMP no later than this event.
• Misc
  • TM: Interesting blog post on the further deterioration of Google Groups (via Slashdot). The post discusses Google Groups in its capacity as a web forum/mailing list and doesn't mention its Usenet gateway, though it's interesting that even these Google-specific features are now being left to rot.
