The group is now open for submissions. Note to news server administrators: unlike other groups in the Big 8, comp.binaries.cbm is intended for posting binary files. It is a low-traffic, moderated newsgroup carrying binaries for 8-bit Commodore computers, so it is not likely to take up much disk space or bandwidth, and distribution of copyrighted software is prohibited by the group's charter. If you are doing anything to filter out binaries in the Big 8, you may therefore want to make an exception for this group. This announcement has not been crossposted to comp.binaries.cbm, as the group's FAQ prohibits crossposts. However, a copy has been submitted to the group separately. MODERATOR INFO: comp.binaries.cbm Moderator: Six of DLOC Article submission address: <binaries@commodoresixtyfour.com> Moderation contact: <moderation@commodoresixtyfour.com> CHARTER AND MODERATION POLICY FOR COMP.BINARIES.CBM: The newsgroup is for the purpose of swapping 8bit Comodore [sic] Binaries, mainly mainly for the 64 and 128 computers. The moderator will attempt to filter out copyrighted software, and insure that the programs work, although it is impossible to verify all software for all systems.
