: TM wrote to Brad Templeton, who indicated that his moderation system may no longer work. TM to reply offering to host the moderation system. - Unused comp.unix.* groups
- MM to draft split the RFD into three and add "History of the group" sections for each of the five groups.

- TM reported a strange DNS problem whereby our hostname was not resolving to our server. TM eventually rebooted the server and the problem seems to have gone away.
- JE reported problems connecting to our mail server; TM to send JE the IMAP and SMTP settings for Thunderbird.
- Software/funding
- TM reported that Thunderbird contacted him to ask if we're still interested in collaborating on funded development. TM to reply.
- Misc
- JE confirmed that his conference material can be posted on the wiki. TM to do so.
- TM can't attend on 19 September due to a conflicting appointment.
- TM reported that he's co-authoring a chapter on Usenet for an edited volume in media studies.
