• Administration
  • rec.humor.funny : TM wrote to Brad Templeton, who indicated that his moderation system may no longer work. TM to reply offering to host the moderation system.
  • Unused comp.unix.* groups
    • MM to draft split the RFD into three and add "History of the group" sections for each of the five groups.
  • No progress on deferred agenda items
• Infrastructure
  • TM reported a strange DNS problem whereby our hostname was not resolving to our server. TM eventually rebooted the server and the problem seems to have gone away.
  • JE reported problems connecting to our mail server; TM to send JE the IMAP and SMTP settings for Thunderbird.
• Software/funding
  • TM reported that Thunderbird contacted him to ask if we're still interested in collaborating on funded development. TM to reply.
• Misc
  • JE confirmed that his conference material can be posted on the wiki. TM to do so.
  • TM can't attend on 19 September due to a conflicting appointment.
  • TM reported that he's co-authoring a chapter on Usenet for an edited volume in media studies.
