                        remove comp.sources.apple2

The Big-8 Management Board has decided by consensus to remove the
newsgroup comp.sources.apple2.  Voting began on 01 Jul 2006, and ended on
02 Jul 2006.

This group will be removed on 07 Jul 2006.


RATIONALE: Remove comp.sources.apple2

The last approved message was in February 1997.

There are other more suitable means of distributing program sources,
so comp.sources.apple2 is not a suitable candidate for conversion to an
unmoderated newsgroup.


HISTORY:

The newsgroup comp.sources.apple2 was created in September 1990, with the
first approved message in September 1990.  I could locate no charter for
the newsgroup, The newsgroup line was:

comp.sources.apple2     Source code and discussion for the Apple2.
