CHARTER AND MODERATION POLICY<br />

comp.os.plan9 is a moderated newsgroup for discussion of the Plan 9<br />
operating system and related systems. It's a forum to ask questions<br />
and share information about installing, administering, using, and<br />
developing the system. Discussion of the original Plan 9 from Bell<br />
Labs as well as all forks, derivitives, or otherwise related systems<br />
are on topic.<br />

Plan 9 was originally developed by Bell Labs, in the same lab and by<br />
many of the same people behind Unix. Thanks to the Plan 9 Foundation,<br />
all Plan 9 releases are now available as Open Source under the MIT<br />
license.<br />
<br />
Per the group's website at <http://9srv.net/comp.os.plan9/>,<br />
moderation is indended to keep discussion on topic. While it is not in<br />
any sense an official project of the Plan 9 Foundation, comp.os.plan9<br />
will be moderated in accordance with the Foundation's Code of Conduct.<br />
