CHARTER OF SOC.RELIGION.CHRISTIAN.PROMISEKEEPERS<br />

A moderated newsgroup which would provide a world wide forum for the<br />
discussion of the principles, schedules of events, and activities of<br />
the organization known as Promise Keepers, as well as discussing the<br />
seven promises of the promisekeepers.<br />
<br />
Types of articles accepted (but not limited to) Questions and<br />
discussion about the seven promises, integrating them into daily life.<br />
<br />
Types of articles not accepted (not limited to) Sermons, book reviews,<br />
and commercial posts.<br />
<br />
Moderation Policy:<br />
<br />
The news group soc.religion.christian.promisekeepers will be moderated<br />
for the purpose of ensuring that postings adhere to the purpose of the<br />
New Group Charter, and the Approved Rules for Posting.<br />
<br />
The Moderation will be solely for the purpose of maintaining orderly<br />
discussions about Promise Keepers, and preventing:<br />
Profane or abusive language.<br />
Personal attacks on other posters.<br />
Crossposting.<br />
Large posts, >300 lines.<br />
High Volume Postings, >600 lines from any poster within 72 hours.<br />
Anonymous postings, or messages from invalid email addresses.<br />
<br />
Postings which disagree with, or question the Promise Keepers will be<br />
permitted as long as they adhere to the orderly discussion rules<br />
above.<br />
<br />
The moderators will require the postings to be in standard USENET<br />
posting format, specifically<br />
<br />
(1) postings shall be legible<br />
(2) less than 50% quote text<br />
(3) less than 80 characters per line<br />
<br />
as well as the above guidelines.<br />

its vote for creation by 252:111 as reported in news.announce.newgroups on<br />
