Following the comment period, the Big-8 Management Board<br /> has decided by consensus to remove the newsgroup comp.object.moderated.<br /> <br /> This group will be removed on 11 May 2007.<br /> <br /> <br /> RATIONALE: remove comp.object.moderated<br /> <br /> The last approved article was in April 2000. The active lifetime of<br /> the group was relatively short, from December 1998 to April 2000, when<br /> the system hosting the moderation was hacked. Combined with a job<br /> change for the moderator, the group never recovered.<br /> <br /> If the group is removed, discussion of object-oriented issues may<br /> continue in the unmoderated group, comp.object.<br /> <br /> Alternatively, a new moderator could be assigned to the group.
