I know that. The question is what to do<br /> about it.&quot;.<br /> <br /> He said that he didn&#039;t have the time to moderate the group, and<br /> requested anyone who wanted to replace him as moderator to contact<br /> him. He mentioned that official submissions from game producers had<br /> &quot;just about hit zero of late&quot;.<br /> <br /> As an announcement group, it would not be appropriate to convert the<br /> group to an unmoderated status.<br /> <br /> <br /> HISTORY:<br /> <br /> The newsgroup rec.games.trading-cards.announce was created in December<br /> 1994 as part of the re-organization of the rec.games.deckmaster.*<br /> sub-hierarchy. As part of this re-organization, the 2 existing groups<br /> in the rec.games.deckmaster.* hierarchy, along with 5 new groups were<br /> placed in a newly established rec.games.trading-cards.* (RGTC)<br /> hierarchy.<br /> <br /> The new groups were RGTC.announce, RGTC.jyhad, RGTC.magic.rules,<br /> RGTC.magic.strategy, and RGTC.magic.misc. The renamed groups were<br /> RGTC.misc and RGTC.marketplace, renamed from rec.games.deckmaster and<br /> rec.games.deckmaster.marketplace, respectively.<br /> <br /> Approvals in RGTC.announce were roughly 3 to 4 per week from December<br /> 1994 to July 1998. There have been no approvals in the 8-1/2 years<br /> since then.<br /> <br /> Historical Footnote: In the CFV, the creation of the new groups was<br /> handled independently from the hierarchy renaming.
